As a respected community organization, we acknowledge that most of our furry friends can be adversely affected by loud noises and explosions, especially fireworks. We do limit our Canada Day Display from 10:00pm to 10:30pm which equates to just 2% of the day this one day per year. Not to try to downplay the occasion but sometimes placing your dog in a quiet and somewhat soundproof area of your home may limit their exposure to the noise. There are devices on the market, such as “Thunder Shirts “ for dogs that can be beneficial. And wrapping your pet up in a snug blanket can help too along with spending this time with them. We do apologize if this celebration causes undue anxiety for your beloved dog and truly wish that some of these suggestions will work for you.
